Sleep is fundamental to our health and wellbeing. At REMEDI HEALTH in Winchester, we have a sleep clinic where you can address issues that stop you either falling or staying asleep.

Safe, private clinic

Our beautiful award-winning clinic is in the centre of Winchester and we look forward to welcoming you. Keeping you and others safe is our priority and so if you are unwell, please let us know in advance and we will make appropriate arrangements.

Trained clinicians

Your appointment will be with a highly trained clinician in one of our private consultation rooms at our clinic in Winchester. We will advise you to ensure that you only receive treatment that is appropriate so you are protected and safe.

Private Pharmacy

We operate within a registered private pharmacy which means that we can discuss and provide any required treatments, tests or referrals as appropriate. You can also be assured that we work within a strict governance framework.

Why book the sleep service?

If you answer yes to these questions, and there are no medical reasons for your sleep problems, then you may have insomnia.

  • Do you struggle to fall asleep, or stay asleep on most nights of the week?
  • Have you had these difficulties for more than three months?
  • Does lack of sleep affect your ability to work and enjoy life?

Insomnia is horrible. It affects every aspect of our daily life – and often the lives of those around us. Sadly, there is no overnight cure, however CBTi is a highly effective treatment that is much more successful than medication.

What to expect

Initial Assessment
At your first appointment, we will ask about your sleep concerns, including how poor sleep affects your daily life. We will then discuss how we can best work together to improve your sleep and ensure you get the most from your coaching sessions.

Follow-up Sessions
This is where the work really begins! Using coaching and scientifically backed techniques and drawing on our Coach’s extensive experience, each session will move you towards a healthy and sustainable sleep pattern.

All consultations are of 50 minutes’ duration. Most people find they need between four and six appointments to reset their sleep pattern and feel the benefits of sleeping well.

CBTi

CBTi is a behavioural treatment that focuses on YOUR sleep problem – how it started, why it continues and how it affects how you think, feel and behave. After an initial assessment, we will develop a treatment plan and work with you to address the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that prevent you from sleeping well.

By the end of treatment, you will have the information and practical strategies you need to ensure your new, healthy sleep pattern is sustainable for the long-term.

Meet Allie, our Sleep Specialist

“I’m a Sleep Specialist with extensive experience in treating adults with sleep problems and a background of more than twenty years’ experience in promoting health and wellness in the NHS. As part of the first NHS Therapist-led Insomnia Clinic in England for over six years, I am one of the most experienced therapists in delivering CBTi in the country.

It’s always been important to me to work with people and I love the challenge of helping someone reach their potential whatever their situation. During my career, I have worked in collaboration with local businesses, education providers, community groups and the voluntary sector to develop and run (sometimes award-winning!) health and wellness programmes in the workplace. As a qualified Occupational Therapist, I worked in a clinical role in cancer care for nine years.

Since specialising in Sleep, I’ve helped hundreds of adults with many different types of sleep problems. In every case, my priority is always on improving quality of life; working with whatever circumstances or situations someone might be facing to inspire confidence, motivation and a belief that goals can be achieved.”
